The use of a breastpump is a wonderful convenience for the family of a breastfeeding mother and baby.  There is a wide variety of pumps available in a range of prices. Please contact your local certified Lactation Consultant for assistance with your choice, as different needs require different pump types.  In general, purchased pumps and pump kits are considered personal use products and selling or sharing parts that come in contact with breastmilk is not recommended.  Contact your local certified Lactation Consultant if you have questions about the re-use of a pump or accessory kit.  For assistance with locating a certified Lactation Consultant in your area, feel free to contact us, or the website of the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (the certifying body for Lactation Consultants) at www.iblce.org.

Mother's Milk Storage Bags

Mother's Milk Storage Bags are a safe and easy way to store breastmilk.  With the attached closure system on the bag it opens easily, stays open and is easy to hold on to.  Mom can pour milk into the bag, attach the bags to the pump flanges (that don't need the bottles for vacuum), remove the air (reducing the amount of freezer burn), and close the bags for transportation and freezing.  The milk is easy to defrost and the bags can be used in bottles that need disposable liners.
